This is brought to you in collaboration with the East, Central, and Southern Africa College of Nursing and Midwifery (ECSACONM), and is available for users in Botswana, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Malawi, Eswatini, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, South Sudan, Seychelles, Mauritius, Uganda, Namibia, Mozambique.

Empower School of Health joined hands with ARC – Africa's Public Health Supply Chain Institution for a transformative partnership to empower youth leaders and enhance supply chain capabilities across Africa. In a world where health supply chains are more crucial than ever, this collaboration will bring positive change to the healthcare landscape.

Empower School of Health marked a remarkable milestone — our 10th Anniversary — just a few days ago! Over the past decade, we've been on a relentless mission to empower healthcare professionals in low- and middle-income countries across Asia and Africa. Through our cutting-edge training programs and knowledge exchange initiatives, we've tirelessly worked towards building the capacity of frontline workers and shaping the future of global health.

The Strategic Training Executive Programme (STEP 2.0) Rwanda Workshop was successfully conducted between 21st and 25th August 2023. The workshop was lauded as an all-around success by coaches, facilitators, the USAID-GHSC PSM team, and participants from the Rwanda Medical Supply Ltd. The workshop also hosted a cocktail event for networking and collaboration; Empower alumni attended this event and mingled with stakeholders from USAID, RMS, Merck, Pfizer, GSK, J&J, AmeriSource Bergen, IFPW Foundation, and GAVI.

Empower Swiss, in collaboration with the International Federation for Pharmaceutical Wholesalers’ (IFPW) Foundation and Management Sciences for Health (MSH), have partnered to support capacity building and leadership development of health supply chain leaders and managers in select Asian countries through the Strategic Training Executive Programme (STEP) 2.0 in the Asia Pacific Region. Participants from over nine Asian countries will meet in Thailand for the face-face interaction of this program.

Empower has partnered with the West African Health Organization (WAHO - OOAS) to conduct joint interventions in the areas of public health, capacity-building services, learning platform design, digital learning and development, and health risk management and mitigation.

We are excited to announce that Empower School of Health, in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis Institute (NTI), Bangalore, has developed a game called Spot the ADR Game for community health volunteers. This game is intended to raise community health volunteers' (CHVs') awareness and understanding of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in the context of tuberculosis (TB).

Empower School of Health provided support to Save the Children India to strengthen their program by developing a Learning Management System (LMS) and a course on Hand Hygiene and Covid-19 in five different languages. The platform has been used to train a large number of frontline workers and others. During the meeting, partners of the HBCC coalition, including People to People Health Foundation (PPHF), Population Services International, Aga Khan Foundation, and others, presented and engaged in dialogue.

Empower School of Health is supporting EngenderHealth in developing a digital gender resource toolkit for master trainers in the supply chain of Large-Scale Food Fortification (LSFF) programs with a variety of learning modules. This initiative is being undertaken under the ‘Mainstreaming Gender in LSFF program’ project supported by BMGF and GAIN, covering the food vehicles viz. edible oil fortification, rice fortification, and double fortified salt across multiple geographies of India.

Empower School of Health in partnership with East, 'Central and Southern Africa College of Nursing (ECSACON) organized a stakeholders' meeting on 16th February to announce the launch of "Supply Chain Management Curriculum for Frontline Workers in Sub - Saharan Africa." The curriculum is being rolled out in five countries which include Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Rwanda, and Nigeria. The key members who participated in the meeting were Chief Nursing Officers, ECSACON country nursing representatives, registrars, regulators, and Presidents of Nursing associations. This initiative aims to help nurses and midwives perform their supply chain responsibilities effectively and efficiently, thus ensuring that medicines and health commodities are delivered at the right place and the right time.

Empower School of Health had the opportunity to participate in the 1st Health Working Group meeting held at G20 Summit at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala from 18 to 20 January 2023, It has been an honor to showcase Learning Management Information System during the event which received a lot of attraction and interest from the delegates.

Empower Swiss in partnership with the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers' Foundation (IFPW) successfully completed the Strategic Training Executive Programme (STEP 2.0) for Supply Chain leaders in Uganda. It was a six-month programme where the candidates learned to implement organizational change, resolve conflicts, and develop an adaptive approach to leadership.
They were coached by experts from Johnson & Johnson, MSD, and GlaxoSmithKline along with facilitators from Empower Swiss and IFPW Foundation. The virtual graduation ceremony was held on 18 November 2022 which was also attended by the Ministry of Health, Uganda.

Empower School of Health organized and delivered the CEO Forum, in partnership with donors (The Global Fund, Gates Foundation, GAVI and USAID), and partners (Africa Resource Centre and People that Deliver) on 11th October 2022.
Nineteen supply chain leaders from 12 countries participated in the event, during which there was a rich exchange of information and ideas on ways to strengthen the supply chain workforce capacity. This face-to-face meeting will be followed by virtual exchanges and sharing of information such as: supply chain transformation strategy examples, donors’ priorities, maturity models, local or regional pharmaceutical manufacturing, mentoring and coaching, pairing/grouping with other countries and more

Empower launched the project titled "Development of Supply Chain Management Curriculum for Frontline Health Workers" at the 15th Biennial Scientific Conference organized by ECSACON. We presented at the plenary session on "Strengthening nursing and midwifery workforce on supply chain management through digital learning" where we provided an overview of the supply chain management courses as well as the learning management system developed for nurses and midwives working at the frontline.
